On the 11^thof December, 2024, the award ceremony of the "23^rd Macao-wide English Speech Contest and the 30^th ‘21st Century’ National English Speaking Competition" Macao Regional Competition was held at the Macau Polytechnic University. Vong Nga In from the Faculty of Medicine of Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) stood out among many contestants and won the championship in the university category of this competition.

The "23^rd Macao-wide English Speech Contest" was held from September to December this year. It included the primary school category, the high school category and the university category. The contest consisted of two rounds including the Semi-Final and the Final. The judges in the Semi-Final round will score the contestants based on their English pronunciation, fluency, public speaking skills, speech content and conversation skills. Ten contestants entered the final round of the contest, while 3 of them were students from our university. In the intense competition of the final round, each contestant needed to give a prepared speech, followed by an impromptu speech and had to answer on-site questions. With fluent English, quick analytical and organizational skills and elegant stage presence, Vong Nga In from Macau University of Science and Technology finally won the championship of the university category of the competition.
