On the morning of August 18, 2026, the opening ceremony of the Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) “Artificial Intelligence Training Camp” — Macau University of Science and Technology Summer Course Program was successfully held at MUST.

Professor Yang Jie, Party Secretary of the School of Artificial Intelligence at BUPT; Professor Li Jianqing, Assistant Director of the School of Computer Science and Engineering at MUST; as well as all instructors and students participating in the training camp.

During the opening ceremony, Professor Li Jianqing first extended a warm welcome on behalf of MUST to all teachers and students participating in the training camp. He introduced the overview of MUST and School of Computer Science and Engineering to the BUPT faculty and students, and expressed his expectations for the joint learning of teachers and students from both universities in the coming days.

Professor Yang Jie first expressed heartfelt thanks to MUST for the cooperation and support provided in her speech. She then introduced the BUPT and School of Artificial Intelligence, as well as the purpose, main content, and specific requirements of this summer course. She hoped that the students would cherish this learning opportunity, study and practice with full enthusiasm, and strive to master the basic knowledge and practical skills of artificial intelligence.

After the opening ceremony, Associate Professor Chen Guang from BUPT delivered the first lecture, titled “AI Programming,” which was warmly received by the students. Subsequent courses will focus on cultivating practical AI capabilities, and students will jointly participate in the design and development of the Intelligent Agent Town at MUST.

This summer course is the fifth “Artificial Intelligence Training Camp” organized by BUPT and MUST. It is believed that under the joint efforts of the two universities, this summer course program will achieve complete success, demonstrate the spirit of the times in which students from Beijing and Macao advance hand in hand, and strengthen teaching and research cooperation between two universities in the field of artificial intelligence. The holding of this training camp will also further leverage the effectiveness of the Artificial Intelligence General Education Center platform jointly established by the two universities, help deepen and solidify the subsequent construction of the center, and continuously deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two universities in the field of artificial intelligence talent cultivation.
