Culinary Demonstration Workshop by American Celebrity Chef Seth Jordan

The Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM) of Macau University of Science and Technology organized a Culinary Demonstration Workshop by Chef Seth Jordan on November 29, 2023. Celebrity Chef Seth Jordan was invited to demonstrate Western cuisine cooking techniques and the event has attracted over 50 F.H.T.M. year one undergraduate students. This workshop was sponsored by the Macao Foundation.

Professor Ben K. Goh gave a warm welcome speech to the guests and said M.U.S.T. has kept enriching the students’ learning and experiences and enhancing their professional skills through offering or holding all kinds of courses, master lectures, and culinary workshops. Through this event, the University hopes these year one students may have the opportunities to learn from top chefs, to cultivate an interest in the catering industry and continue to delve into this field in the future.

Chef Seth Jordan Shared His Experiences with Students

Chef Seth Jordan has demonstrated remarkable skills in culinary instruction, menu development, and kitchen management. He excels in designing innovative menus and creating culinary masterpieces. Currently, he holds the position of Sous Chef at the prestigious dining company Hunt and Harvest Events in New York. He has successfully executed numerous off-site catering services for large-scale events, meticulously overseeing every detail to ensure an unforgettable dining experience for guests.

Signature Dish: Global Dumpling Extravaganza

During the sharing session, Chef Seth Jordan demonstrated his signature dish, Global Dumpling Extravaganza. The Culinary Demonstration Workshop enriched the students’ knowledge and experiences and enhanced their professional skills in Western cuisine, which will certainly be a great treasure in their future careers.
