MUST’s Faculty of Innovation Engineering Signs Cooperation Agreement with Menzies Macau Airport Services Ltd.

On June 9, 2026, the Faculty of Innovation Engineering (FIE) of Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) and Menzies Macau Airport Services Ltd. held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement.

By mutual consent, the two parties will engage in deep collaboration in key areas such as student internships, industry-backed final-year Capstone projects, and data-driven research. Together, they aim to promote talent cultivation and the digital-intelligent transformation of airport operations.

The representatives from both sides attending the signing ceremony are as follows: From Menzies Macau Airport Services Limited: Anabela Barros, Managing Director; Jacky Xie, Operations Director; Jane Chan, Deputy General Manager – Cargo, Commercial and Business Development; and Steven Chan, Human Resources Manager. From the Faculty of Innovation Engineering: Sun Qiao, Dean; Li Xiaodong, Assistant Dean; Li Xianfeng, Program Director of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE); and Zhao Rui, Assistant Professor.

During the ceremony, both sides expressed that this collaboration will further advance the industry-academia-research collaboration. By combining the scientific research expertise of the university with the practical scenarios of the industry, they will help research outcomes move beyond the laboratory and be transformed into real productive forces that drive social and economic development. The partnership will also cultivate future talents with innovative thinking for the civil aviation industry in Macao and the Greater Bay Area.

Subsequently, witnessed by teams from both sides, Ms. Anabela Barros and Prof. Sun Qiao signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. The signing of this agreement marks a substantial and important step forward in industry-academia-research collaboration, talent cultivation, and technological innovation between the two parties. In the future, both sides will continue to deepen the implementation of their cooperation mechanisms and jointly contribute to the high-quality growth of the aviation industry in the Greater Bay Area.
