Guizhou and Macao Jointly Organized Special Training Program on Chinese White Wine in Zhuhai to Deepen Chinese White Wine Culture Exchanges
Recently, the Special Training Program on Chinese White Wine Tasting and Wine Culture Influence Communication, co-organized by Moutai Institute and co-organized by the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Macau University of Science and Technology, was successfully concluded in Zhuhai. This training program marks a practical step by Moutai Institute to deepen inter-university cooperation with Macau University of Science and Technology, actively integrate into the development strategy of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, and promote exchange and integration between Guizhou and Macao in cultural tourism and traditional culture. More than 50 participants, including professionals from the wine and spirits industry, experts and scholars, and university teaching and research staff from the Greater Bay Area, attended the three-day specialized program.

Ao Pak Loi, President of the General Association of Guizhou Associations of Macao and Member of the University Council of Macau University of Science and Technology, said that the training program has built a high-quality platform for exchange and mutual learning in wine culture between Guizhou and Macao. He hoped that both sides would take this program as a starting point to continue leveraging their respective resource advantages, further expanding cooperation in talent cultivation, academic seminars, cultural tourism integration, and brand promotion, and deepen industry collaboration between the two regions. He further noted that both parties should work together to explore the contemporary value of wine culture. By relying on the international window of the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, Guizhou and Macao can promote comprehensive and in-depth cooperation in culture, cultural tourism, and commerce, achieving resource sharing, market expansion, and mutual development.

At the opening ceremony, Zhang Shan, Vice President of Moutai Institute, stated that the training program is based on the distinctive locational advantages of Zhuhai and Macao. The curriculum focuses on Chinese White Wine tasting techniques, brewing processes, historical culture, and brand communication. Combining theoretical instruction with practical training, the program is both professional and practice-oriented. She hoped this training program would serve as a strong starting point for Moutai Institute and Macau University of Science and Technology to further expand their areas of cooperation. With culture as the bond, training as the vehicle, and industry as the foundation, both parties will continue to deepen practical cooperation across multiple fields, contribute to the inheritance and innovation of traditional culture in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area, promote the high-quality development of the cultural tourism industry, and bring the excellence of Chinese wine culture to a broader stage.

Cai E, Guangdong Regional Manager of Kweichow Moutai Sales Co., Ltd., noted that the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area is an important platform for brand development and cultural communication. He encouraged all participants to cherish this learning opportunity, study diligently, think deeply, and apply what they learn in practice. He also stated that the company would continue to deepen school–enterprise collaboration and jointly enhance the comprehensive professional capabilities of regional teams.

Participants stated that they would apply the professional knowledge and practical skills gained from the program in their work. They also hoped that, through this training opportunity, industry exchanges between Zhuhai and Macao would be further strengthened. By making use of Macao’s role as a bridge connecting China with the wider world, they hoped to bring the rich aroma of Chinese White Wine and its thousand-year-old wine culture into the Greater Bay Area and onto the global stage.
After intensive and rewarding theoretical study and hands-on tasting practice, the special training program was successfully concluded with a certificate awarding ceremony. The organizers presented certificates of completion to the participants, encouraging them to apply what they had learned and to serve as ambassadors of fine Chinese wine culture, injecting new momentum into the in-depth cooperation and exchange of wine culture between Guizhou and Macao.
