From August 26 to 29, 2026, the 21st Annual Meeting of the Chinese Society of Pediatric Surgery (CSPS 2026) was held in Shanghai. Bo Li, Assistant Professor at the Precision Regenerative Medicine Research Centre, Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST-PRMRC), led his research team to attend the conference. Several team members delivered presentations in different scientific sessions and engaged in extensive academic exchanges with experts and researchers in pediatric surgery from across China.

The MUST delegation consisted of Bo Li, Assistant Professor at the Precision Regenerative Medicine Research Centre; Shuiqing Chi, postdoctoral “Macao Scholar”; and PhD students Yingying He, Xinwei Hou, and Yu Tian. During the conference, team members presented their respective research projects, showcasing the team’s recent scientific progress and research achievements.

The Annual Meeting of the Pediatric Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association is one of the major national academic platforms in the field of pediatric surgery in China. This year’s meeting brought together pediatric surgeons, researchers, and young investigators from institutions across the country for extensive discussions on basic research, clinical practice, and translational medicine in pediatric surgery.

During the meeting, the MUST team actively participated in scientific presentations, academic discussions, and exchanges with fellow researchers. The team also communicated with several leading children’s medical centers and pediatric surgery research groups regarding potential future collaborations. The participation of multiple team members as conference presenters reflects MUST’s continued commitment to the development of young researchers and to active engagement in high-level national academic exchanges.

The conference further strengthened academic connections between MUST and the pediatric surgery community in China and provided new opportunities for future cross-institutional and interdisciplinary collaborations. Moving forward, the team will continue to leverage MUST’s research platforms to promote the integration of fundamental research with clinical needs and to actively engage in high-level academic exchange and collaboration both nationally and internationally.
