The Third Culinary Competition
Held by Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management
“I am the Chef”—the third culinary competition organized by MUST, FHTM was held on January 28, 2018. The teams are from Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4 Food and Beverage Management students. A total of 5 teams enrolled for this competition. Each team needed to complete 3 courses which included appetizer, main course and dessert in 2 and half hours. The evaluation criteria included Knife Skills, Hygiene, The ingredients using ability/Team Work/Creative ability, Presentation and Taste. Finally the champion team was formed by Arthur Wong and Eric Liu. Their productions were Low heat poached shrimp with avocado, green apple crab sauce with shrimp soup foam, Angus sirloin beef with organic seasonal vegetable with herb butter egg yolk sauce and Tiramisu glutinous rice balls with rum raisins and crispy meat floss for dessert.
