Research Group: Macao Scientific Satellite

Introduction:

Macao’s Scientific satellite missions are focused on the time-space variations of the geomagnetic field, the properties of the Earth’s outer core flows, the smallscale lithospheric field, and the space weather; All the scientific goals are based on high-precision data pre-processing and calibrations. They will yield key magnetic field models and other data products.

Our team is conducting research in the following fields:

  • Satellite data in-flight calibration
  • Magnetic field modelling
  • Space weather prediction
  • Magnetic secular variations
  • Geodynamo
