何厚鏜先生：大愛無疆澤世人，豐年永瑞駐濠鏡

澳門科技大學十九周年校慶之榮譽博士學位頒授典禮於3月27日於大學D座禮堂隆重舉行。澳門特別行政區政府社會文化司司長譚俊榮博士親臨主禮，為頒授典禮大增光彩。

榮譽博士學位頒授典禮上，澳科大向何厚鏜先生、拓跋賀教授(Prof. Witold Pedrycz)、袁國勇教授、賀定一女士、朱爾斯•霍夫曼教授(Prof. Jules A. Hoffmann)、彼得•亞瑟•戴蒙德教授（Prof. Peter Arthur Diamond）、姚期智教授、河村建夫先生(Mr. Takeo Kawamura)共八位世界傑出人士頒授了榮譽博士學位。澳科大校友總會也迎來了八位在不同領域建樹非凡、功勳卓越的校友。

何厚鏜先生是大豐銀行董事長，澳門中華總商會副會長，青海省第十一屆政協常委、澳門科技大學校董。其社會職務還包括：澳門同善堂值理會副主席、澳門鏡湖醫院慈善會名譽主席、濠江中學校董會永遠榮譽董事長、澳門工商聯會名譽會長、澳門金融界慶委會副主任委員、澳門日報讀者公益基金會名譽顧問、澳區省級政協委員聯誼會顧問、澳門何族崇義堂聯誼會名譽會長。

何厚鏜先生出生於廣東番禺，畢業於加拿大滑鐵盧大學數學系。其父何賢為澳門知名企業家與華人領袖，大豐銀行的前身大豐銀號即是由何賢先生和友人於1942年所創立。何厚鏜先生秉承家學，於1972年出任澳門匯豐銀行董事，1999年至2009年擔任大豐銀行股份有限公司常務董事，2009年至今擔任澳門大豐銀行股份有限公司董事長。何先生具有豐富的金融業實踐經驗，自他擔任大豐銀行董事長以來，對大豐銀行的穩健發展起到了極大的推動作用。目前，由他領導和管理的大豐銀行總資產已達到1,621億澳門元，是澳門本地註冊資金最高的商業銀行之一，並與世界各地的三百多間金融機構建立了代理行關係，更於2017年暨大豐銀行成立75週年之際開設了大豐銀行上海分行。

何厚鏜先生多年來為澳門金融業和社會繁榮作出了諸多貢獻，同時他也十分關注澳門醫療慈善、教育事業的發展，為澳門各界提供了極大的助力。

Citation for Mr. HO Hao Tong

Mr. HO Hao Tong has not only propelled Macao’s finance industry, but also benefited the Macao population through charitable causes.

Mr. HO Hao Tong is Chairman of Tai Fung Bank Limited, Vice President of the Macao Chamber of Commerce, Standing Member of the Eleventh Political Consultative Conference of Qinghai Province, and Member of the University Council of Macau University of Science and Technology. He holds positions in many other societies, including Vice President of the Rotating Council of the Macau Tung Sin Tong Charitable Society, Honorary Chairman of the Kiang Wu Hospital Charitable Association, Permanent Honorary Chairman of the Board of Hou Kong Middle School, Honorary President of the Industry and Commerce Association of Macau, Vice Director Member of the Macau Financial Community Standing Committee for Celebration Preparations, Honorary Advisor of the Charity Fund From the Readers of Macao Daily News, Advisor of the Friendship Association for Macao’s Delegates to Provincial Committees of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and Honorary President of the Macau Ho’s Clan Association.

Born in Panyu, Guangdong Province, Mr. HO Hao Tong graduated from the Department of Mathematics of Waterloo University, Canada. He is the son of the late Mr. HO Yin, who was a well-known entrepreneur and Chinese leader in Macao and founded Tai Fung Money Changer Limited, together with his friends in 1942, the predecessor of today’s Tai Fung Bank. Carrying on the legacy of his father, Mr. HO became Board Member of the Macau Tai Fung Bank in 1972, was a Standing Board Member of the Tai Fung Bank Limited from 1999 to 2009, and has been Chairman of the Board of the Tai Fung Bank Limited since 2009. Mr. HO has rich experience in financial practices and has played a key role in the steady fast development of the Tai Fung Bank since he became the board chairman. Currently, under his leadership and management, the Tai Fung Bank has total assets of more than MOP 162.1 billion; as a commercial bank, it is one of the highest registered capital banks in Macao, and has become a correspondent bank for more than 300 financial institutions worldwide. In 2017, upon the Tai Feng Bank 75th anniversary, its Shanghai Branch was opened.

Mr. HO Hao Tong has made tremendous contributions to Macao’s finance industry and societal prosperity; he also partakes with Macao’s medical philanthropy causes and education, and has provided great impetuses for local communities.
