Famous doctor from Southern Guangdong shares the academic ideas of various febrile diseases

On November 1, 2020, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Macau University of Science and Technology, the Faculty of Chinese Medicine and the Cross Straits-Hong Kong-Macau Collaboration Center of Science and Technology in Chinese Medicine jointly organized a "Lecture Hall of Famous Teachers of Traditional Chinese Medicine", and Doctor Xu Yunsheng from Jinan University was invited. He introduced the academic thinking and clinical experience of the four major febrile diseases. More than 50 students, teachers and social individuals participated in the event.

Professor Xu pointed out that febrile disease is a clinical subject that studies the occurrence and development of febrile disease and its diagnosis, treatment and prevention strategy. It has important guiding significance not only for febrile disease, but also for the diagnosis and treatment of fever syndromes in other clinical departments. The theories of diagnosis and treatment of exogenous fever mainly include typhoid theory and febrile disease theory, both of which can guide clinical practice. The typhoid doctrine laid the foundation for the establishment of the febrile disease doctrine, which is the inheritance and development of the typhoid doctrine. It was not until the Qing Dynasty febrile disease experts Ye Tianshi and Wu Jutong established the Weiqiyingxue and Sanjiao Syndrome Differentiation and Treatment System that it became an independent discipline. Professor Xu believes that in learning febrile disease, one should master basic theories, knowledge and skills, attach importance to clinical practice, avoid theory divorcing from clinic, absorb modern medicine and scientific knowledge, and continuously enrich the content of febrile disease.

This event was sponsored by the Cross Straits-Hong Kong-Macau Collaboration Center of Science and Technology in Chinese Medicine and undertaken by the Faculty of Chinese Medicine. The event received strong support from the Macau Foundation.
