Dr. Tuan Phong Ly of FHTM was invited to give lectures at the Tourism and Hotel Department of Leyte Normal University, Tacloban City, the Philippines on 24 November, 2015. He has delivered two topics entitled “Ecotourism in Mainland Southest Asia: Theory and Practice” and “The Choice of Park Management Model: Phong Nha- Ke Bang National Park in Vietnam”. Dr. Tuan Phong Ly’s specializations are ecotourism, national park management and cultural tourism research. In the invited lectures, he explored diffrecences between theory and practice of ecotourism management in South East Asian countries, also the solutions to narrow the ecotourism gap. Moreover, he shared his current published papar on Tourism Management Perpectives journal, regarding the choice of Vietnamese Park System in deciding its park management model. It could serve as a role model for other parks in Vietnam and the South East Asian region to learn for.
