On July 11, 2016, students from Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Xu Chi, Zhou Jingyi, Li Jiahui, Jing Xiaoxuan and Zhang Faqiang led by Dr. Xu Ye, to participate in 2016 “Huafa Cup” future leadership summer camp organized by Sun Yat-Sen University. The team received the excellence award.
The event is organized by China Travel Association and Tourism College at Sun Yat-Sen University, aiming to further enhance convention management knowledge, to build domestic exchange platform between University academic convention. Summer camp students from Zhongshan University, Shanghai Normal University, Sichuan University, and other domestic universities. Campers here to get to know each other, build friendships, and during the five-day camp on MICE-related issues to discuss and learn. Final competition was held on July 11 afternoon, a total of eight teams for a showdown. Our students presented "Sino-Portuguese cultural carnival" as the theme of the competition, from all directions showed Macau culture, heritage and marketing. At the same time, professional judges from the business community and academia, we plan to submit reports on the players and on-site performance assessing innovation, feasibility, integrity and professional reviews for the players after the competition. FHTM provides support for this event and anticipate more involvement for this kind of activities in the future.
