Dean Philip Xie and Program Director Jose Wong visited Mandarin Oriental in Guangzhou on July 12, 2016. The purpose was to meet the internship students and discuss further collaboration with the hotel. It received warm welcome from the students, six of eight of internship students decided to take the full time positions in Mandarin Oriental. They worked in various departments and set foot in the luxury hotel industry. Dean Xie encouraged them to get improved and work harder. The hotel arranged the site visitations of the hotel room, restaurants and spa. The meeting was held with the Director of Human Resources regarding the continued support for internship as well as the guest house run by our students in Macau.
Both agreed to further develop relationship and provide more opportunities for our students.
