October 25, 2016 marked a fresh new start for two classes of freshmen of FHTM to host an important guest lecture - Career opportunities and development in Hospitality and Tourism industries. 108 students in formal dressing arrived in the venue on time waiting in front of the door. When the guest speaker came, they have already sit properly as a professional team.
Mr. Paul Hotchan, Assistant Vice President of recruitment of Galaxy Entertainment Group shared his own career development in Hospitality Industries since he was sixteen years; working in hotels; being an entrepreneur of F & B and now focusing on human resources in Galaxy Entertainment Group. His personal experience is indeed inspiring to students and indicating a good model for students to have their career planning ahead. Mr. Hotchan also showed some other opportunities around in the industries, examples from his good friend and future challenges facing the industries. Students are enthusiastic to ask questions at the end of the lecture. The atmosphere is amazing as students approached individually or as a group to take photos with Mr. Hotchan.
