The Distinguished Hospitality Executive Forum hosted by FHTM was held on November 25, 2016. Ms. Grace Chan, Assistant Vice President of Environmental Services, Housekeeping & Environmental Services in Galaxy Entertainment Group, was invited to give a talk entitled Room Division Management by applying Technology for our hotel management majors.
Ms. Chan started with her self-introduction in the hospitality industry, how she was willing to take more challenge in order to achieve her career plan. In her speech, she shared with students the example of Galaxy Entertainment Group that with more than 1,299 employees in her department, how they apply the technology in order to keeping tracking and records on housekeepers’ daily job and how the technology facilitate the management in order to manage this big department in their integrated resort. Many students’ had showed their interests of this technology and the future career plan in room division.
