The FHTM hosted the Distinguished Hospitality Executive Forum Series on February 24, 2017. Mr. Leung Yiu Wah, who is a Michelin-starred chef, as well as the former executive chef of Venetian Resorts, representing the Group of Health Diet Association, gave a talk to our BFBM students on the development of Cantonese Cuisine. He also demonstrated a famous Chinese dish named “slow cook of sea bass” which brought an unforgettable experience to our students.
Chef Leung not only introduced the history of Cantonese Cuisine but also invited two students to cook the dish with him. Students were all interested in the Chinese cooking method since it’s a new cooking method for them. Chef Leung also advocated that the Chinese cuisine is becoming more and more popular in the world and he hope that our younger generations can pass on the best part of the Chinese cuisine. This activity was sponsored by Macau Foundation.
