The FHTM hosted the Distinguished Hospitality Executive Forum Series on March 10, 2017. Ms Choi Kit Yee, who is the Director of Yinman Home Economics and Culinary Arts School, as well as the columnist of “Diet program”, gave a talk to our BFBM students on the characteristics and skill of Chinese traditional snacks. She also demonstrated two famous Chinese traditional snacks named “Bean paste with glutinous rice” and “Traditional pottery cake” which brought an unforgettable experience to our students.
Chef Choi not only introduced the characteristics of Chinese traditional snacks but also divided students into several groups and taught them the skills of making the glutinous rice dough. Students were all interested in the Chinese traditional snack cooking method since it’s a new cooking method for them. Chef Choi also mentioned that she thinks our students are very talented and smart, she hopes our students will have a bright future after they graduate from school. This activity was sponsored by Macau Foundation.
