Professor Pang Chuan, Vice President of Macau University of Science and Technology and Dean of Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management, paid an official visit to three higher education institutions Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism, I-Shou University and Pingtung University of Science and Technology in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. The delegation included Ms. Amy Chu, Vice Dean of FHTM, Ms. Flora Kok, Head of Human Resources Office, and Ms. Brenda Yang, FHTM program director.
The delegation has meetings to share information, experiences and opinions with the three institutions on educational management, practical-skill cultivation and curriculum design in the fields of hospitality, tourism, and food and beverages. They also toured around the campuses on the academic buildings, culinary classrooms, bakery rooms, chocolate rooms, and training restaurants, including the newly established Kaohsiung Le Cordon Bleu culinary institute at the Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism. At the end of the visits, on behalf of FHTM, Vice President Pang Chuan and Vice Dean Amy Chu signed MOUs with Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism and I-Shou University respectively, on exchange programs for students and teachers, collaboration in scientific research, cooperation in teaching and practice, etc.
This official visit has enhanced mutual understanding and academic exchange between MUST and three Taiwan institutions, and has laid solid foundation for further and deeper cooperation in teaching and research in the foreseeable future.
