The “Talks with MICE Professionals - The role of destination management” seminar hosted by the Student Union of the Faculty of Tourism and Tourism Management was held on March 22, 2019 at the O702 Lecture Hall at Block O of Macau University of Science and Technology. The main purpose of the seminar was to share about the MICE operation procedures in the Great Bay Areas (GBA). In recent years, the convention and exhibition industry has been one of the fast growing emerging industries in Macau. Macau is the intersection of Eastern and Western commercial and cultural exchanges and has long been a platform for cooperation between cities. The main guests of the event are the main members of the Macao-Korea Interactive Association (MKIA), a non-profit organization that handles cultural exchange programs with Korea and Macau. MKIA hosted incentive travel from Korea and introduced how they successfully completed the cultural travel exchange programs in GBA. FHTM teachers including Dr. Kang Sangguk, Dr. Pai Chen Kuo, Dr. Jaeseok Lee etc. all attended the seminar. The entire event lasted for two hours.
