On March 31, 2023, Assistant Professor Hong Fang of FHTM led a group of graduate students to attend the “Splendors of China Leadership Forum Sharing the Spirits of NPC and CPPCC Two Sessions” at the Ballroom of the City of Dreams.

Since 2016, the "Splendors of China" series has been launched by Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited, aiming to promote national pride and the spirit of “loving the motherland and loving Macau” through the implementation of internal education programs. As part of the series, Melco invited the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR as the advisor. Ms. Ho Sut Heng, NPC deputy and the President of the Macao Federation of Trade Unions, Mr. Kevin Ho, NPC deputy and President of the Industry and Commerce Association of Macau, Mr. Frederico Ma Chi Ngai, CPPCC Member and President of Macao Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Lawrence Ho Yau Lung, Chairman and CEO of the Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited attended this forum and shared the spirit of the first session of China's 14th NPC and the first session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee.
The forum focused on conveying the country's people-centered development ideology and analyzing the requirements of "The 20th National Congress" report for Macau: "One Country, Two Systems", "people of Macao governing Macau", and a high degree of autonomy, etc. The forum also pointed out that President Xi Jinping emphasized that the country will work unswervingly both to consolidate and develop the public sector and to encourage, support, and guide the development of the non-public sector when attending meetings of China Democratic National Construction Association and All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce. Therefore, Macao has received strong support in economic development and the improvement of people’s livelihoods.
