The 10th “Hotelier Experience Sharing” symposium hosted by the Student Union of the Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management was held on Nov 21st, 2023. Prof. Ben K. Goh, Dean of FHTM, Prof. Timothy Lee, Vice Dean of FHTM, Dr. Yang Chieh-Yun, Program Director of FHTM, Associate Professor Dr. Pai Chen-Kuo, Assistant Professor, Dr. Zhu Yanni, Assistant Professor, Mr. Teng Shu-Peng, Instructor and over 150 students and teachers attended the symposium.

The main purpose of this symposium was inviting alumni who are currently serving in the hospitality industry, returning to school, and sharing their hotel working experience to current students in Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management, let the students in the school understand the current working environment and actual operation of the hotel industry. The event invited three alumni who are working in leading luxury hotels. They are: Hank Lee (Grand Hyatt Hefei)、Tiffany Xing (Londoner Court Macau)、Joann Hus (Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong).
The Alumni Experience Sharing
They were sharing the practical experience of working. In addition, the advantages and disadvantages of the hotel industry work and provided their advice to current students. Finally, the guests answered all kinds of questions from the students. The questions and answers were included: hotel internship, resume preparation, job search skills, interview response, hotel work environment culture, and future career development issues. The entire event lasted for two hours.
