The members of the Organizing Committee of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management Alumni Association (referred to as the “FHTM Alumni Association”) visited Macau University of Science and Technology Alumni Federation (referred to as the “Alumni Federation”) on February 1, 2024. They were warmly received by Vice President of Macau University of Science and Technology and Chairman of General Assembly of the Alumni Federation, Prof. Pang Chuan.

During the visit, the committee members reported on the latest progress of the preparatory activities of the FHTM Alumni Association. The Chairman of General Assembly-Elect, Mr. Patrick Wong, pointed out that the mission of the FHTM alumni association is to establish close connections, provide support and opportunities, and expects alumni to actively participate and contribute to creating a vibrant alumni community. The Chairman of Executive Committee-Elect, Mr. David Ao, introduced the future activity plans of the FHTM alumni association, including organizing various alumni lectures and visits alumni companies. The Vice Chairman of General Assembly-Elect, Mr. Lawrence Chen, emphasized the goals of the FHTM alumni association, which include building an overseas platform, establishing a strong alumni network, and bridging the gap between the college and the industry. It is recommended that graduates visit the campus more often and participate in school activities.
Prof. Pang Chuan provided valuable advice on the establishment of the FHTM Alumni Association. He encouraged the FHTM Alumni Association to actively carry out various activities, unite alumni, provide valuable resources and opportunities for alumni, and contribute to the development of the faculty. He hoped that the FHTM Alumni Association would become a benchmark and help enhance the reputation and influence of the university. He believed that the FHTM Alumni Association would become an important link for alumni to stay connected and provide solid support and platforms for their growth and development. Prof. Ben K. Goh, Dean of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management provided guidance on the development of the FHTM Alumni Association and suggested that alumni actively participate in school activities and establish closer connections with the alma mater.
Also present at the meeting were Ms. Vivian Tang, Vice President of Board of Directors & Secretary-General of the Alumni Federation, and also members from of the FHTM Alumni Association including Dr. Jose Wong, Vice Chairman of Executive Committee-Elect, Ms. Katherine Chan, Vice Chairman of Supervisory Board-Elect, Ms. Michelle Ou, Secretary-General-Elect and Mr. Carton Lai, Member of Supervisory Board-Elect.
