First Batch of Culinary Arts Student Receiving Training for the Bachelor of Food and Beverage Program
In recent years, the rating of Michelin-starred restaurants has been extending to Macau. With the rising expectation of food and beverage from tourists and local residents, Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST) had been granted from Macau SAR Government for implementing the Bachelor of Food and Beverage Management program. This program is divided into two majors; Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management, these courses are highlighting on ability development, emphasizing on both theory and practical training which enable students to achieve knowledge and skills comprehensively in food and beverage industry. Through a series of specialized training and management courses, cultivating talented professionals in culinary and restaurant fields, promoting Macau’s distinctive catering culture.
Since recruited in Sept last year, the first batch of culinary arts student has now started their training session. This year, the first training class has been conducted at The Seasons-MUST Training Restaurant. Distinguished Instructor Professor Clarence Pan has been invited from Daytona State College, Florida, United States to perform his lecture personally at our campus. Professor Pan, has an extensive culinary teaching experience and also well-rated of his teaching performance. Students are greatly benefited from his lectures and skillful demonstration The first training course has provided a platform for students to learn the basic skills, after few days of intensive training, students’ technique has been improved a lot. Meanwhile, Professor Pan is very impressed by the students’ positive attitude towards their lectures.
