Delegation of Macau-Taiwan Higher Education Forum Visited MUST, Promoting Sustainable Development of Academic Exchanges between Macau and Taiwan

Led by Chair Professor Yang Kuo-Shihof Asia University, founding Chairman of Taiwan Higher Education Society, a delegation of experts and scholars from Macau-Taiwan Higher Education Forum paid a visit to Macau University of Science and Technology on December 1, 2014. The delegation was warmly welcomed and received by President Liu Liang, Senior Vice President Zhang Shu Guang, Associate Vice President Pang Chuan, and Administrative Officer Denys, Kwong Ying Wa of the Rector’s Office of MUST.

During the meeting of the two parties, President Liu Liang gave an overall introduction to the University’s educational scale, the characteristics of the faculties, student admission, and the institutes and research centers of the University, followed by a brief summary of the main scientific research achievements of the University over the past recent years.

President Liu Liang also expressed wishes to borrow advanced educational experience from universities all over the world, to continue basing the university on teaching and research and seize tight two important notions: “quality” and “innovation”,  and to fully fulfill the university’s strengths in developing quality education and excellent research.

Chair Professor Yang Kuo-Shihof Asia University, founding Chairman of Taiwan Higher Education Society gave high regards to the University’s educational achievements and expressed wishes for sustainable development of academic exchanges among universities in Macau and Taiwan.
