Academic Staff of Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management of MUST won the 1st Best Paper Award

The Aegean Tourism Summit 2015 titled as “Tourism as a Tool for Sustainable Growth” was held in the world famous tourism destination of Greece- the Kos Island, at the beginning of May this year. The conference brought together the research community, renowned experts and professionals from Europe, America and Asia to discuss cutting edge issues in tourism. Dr. Tuan Phong Ly, Assistant Professor of Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management was invited to the conference and presented his study named “Assessment of Ecotourism Management in a Strictly Protected Area of a National Park: Hang En Cave, Vietnam”. The study was announced as the 1st Best Paper Award at the end of the conference. Dr. Ly has strong research interest in ecotourism and national park management. This award-winning paper is about ecotourism development and operation issues in his home country Vietnam, taking Phong Nha- Ke Bang National Park as a case study. This award also highlights the diversity of teaching and research topics of Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management , which is not only about gaming and hospitality management.
