M.U.S.T. Macau Image Gallery Exhibits “Majestic Macao Since Return to Motherland” in Melbourne

In the interests of enhancing conservation and putting Macao’s historic and cultural resources into more effective use, Macau University of Science and Technology set up Macau Image Gallery at the end of 2018, to collect videos and images that record and mark Macao’s urban graphic forms. After half-year’s operation, the Gallery now houses over 1200 images that reflect the development and evolution of Macao’s urban landscapes over the years. These images are now accessible to the public and scholars at the website of the University Library of M.U.S.T.

To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Macao’s return to the motherland, Australia Macau General Commercial Chamber invited the Macau Image Gallery to jointly organize and present the “Majestic Macao Since Return to Motherland” exhibition, to showcase to the Chinese community and overseas communities in Australia the fast development and unique humanistic landscapes of Macao. The exhibition will take place in the Museum of Chinese Australian History in Melbourne from June 23rd to 30th, and has been given great support by the Museum and by the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Melbourne. The hosting organizations expect the joint project to enable better cultural exchanges and closer links between Macao and the overseas communities, especially the Chinese communities all over the world.
