The recently opened Educational Development Centre at Macau University of Science and Technology presented Certificates to members of staff who had completed training sessions on many educational topics, including teaching and learning, outcomes based education, critical thinking, self-evaluation, case studies, effective discussions, motivating students, and promoting effective learning with large groups. The Director of the Centre, Professor Keith Morrison, indicated that the certificates were a useful document of record of professional development, indicating a commitment by staff to their continuous improvement, and a clear sign of the university’s ongoing development of excellence in teaching in the university.
