Macau University of Science and Technology was founded in 2000, and has since been adopting the educational approach of “Attaching equal importance to teaching and research”. The University has achieved fast development and become the largest-scale comprehensive university in Macao. It has been ranked as a top 100 university by Shanghai Ranking’s “Ranking of Top Universities in Greater China” for nine consecutive years, ranked the 20th in 2019. The University also made it into the top 300 at the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020. In answering the needs of the society for high-end talents of various types, the University newly offers 12 postgraduate programs, including 7 Master programs (Hotel Management, Supply Chain Management, Architecture, Fine Arts in Interactive Media, Space Big Data Analytics, Financial Crime and Regulation, and Intelligent Technology) and 5 doctoral programs (Architecture, Advanced Networking, Artificial Intelligence, Pharmacy, and Urban and Regional Economics). These 12 new programs have been approved by the Macao Special Administrative Region Government to officially open for admission of students.
