Notice: Course Enrollment, Teaching and Learning Arrangements for the Second Semester of 2019/2020 Academic Year

Ref. No. : AR/N/20/0005

To: All students

According to the guidelines of the Macau SAR Government, the University has further postponed class commencement for the second semester of 2019/2020 academic year as a response to the continuation of the novel coronavirus outbreak. In order to reduce the impact of the epidemic on the students' learning plans and progress, the University has been dedicated to strengthening the use of various online teaching platforms to provide academic guidance without geographical restrictions and to implement the principle of “Keep Learning amid Class Suspension”.

In addition to the existing online teaching platform “Moodle”, the University will also make use of the cloud-based video conferencing platform – Zoom as the online teaching platform, as well as other common online and offline platforms, technologies and tools to provide students with online teaching and academic guidance, so that students can attend classes, interact with teachers, make discussions and complete homework at home according to the study plan. Each teaching and academic unit has now made corresponding assessments and preparations for online teaching. Courses that are not suitable for online teaching will be postponed to a feasible resumption date and it is not ruled out that classes may end in the summer depending on the actual teaching arrangements and needs. Other courses will be taught online for the time being according to the original class schedule starting from February 17, 2020. The class time table for courses that originally end before February 17 will be rescheduled.

In view of the above, students should make corresponding preparations and arrangements for online teaching according to the schedule below:
