The Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM) of Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.) held the second session of this semester’s Distinguished Scholar Forum of Hospitality and Tourism on October 26th, 2022, entitled “Status of Tourism Finance Development”. Mr. Gu Chunxin, Vice President of Ctrip Finance, was invited as the guest speaker to share his views on the topic. Prof. Ben K. Goh, Dean of FHTM, Program Director Dr. Zhang Yang, and more than 120 teachers and students attended the lecture via Zoom.
Prof. Ben K. Goh gave a warm welcome speech to Mr. Gu Chunxin and said M.U.S.T. has kept enriching the students’ learning and experiences and enhancing their professional skills through offering or holding all kinds of courses, master lectures, and culinary workshops. It is hoped that through this lecture, the students will have a better understanding of the current development status of the tourism industry and the tourism financial market, and at the same time provide some help for their academic research in the future.

Mr. Gu has extensive experience in the financial industry. In the lecture, he first introduced the development trend and history of Trip.com Group, and then explained the business structure and product advantages of Ctrip Finance in detail, and finally analyzed the current problems encountered by Ctrip Finance. At the end of the presentation, students had a lot of interactions with Mr. Gu Chunxin in the Q&A session. Mr. Gu has spared no effort to help them. The lecture was a complete success.
