Mi Jianing, doctoral student of the State Key Laboratory of the Chinese Medicine Quality Research, won best poster award at the Eighth Annual Chinese Society Chemical Biology National Conference. The title of Mi Jianing’s award-winning poster was the "Formulations of Mycelia of Cordyceps Sinensis and Cordyceps Sphingolipids Omics Research". The research adopted a technological platform, analyzed more than 100 precious traditional Chinese medicine preparation of Cordyceps sinensis and Cordyceps sphingolipids. From material metabolomics of traditional Chinese medicine perspective, provided an in-depth and systematic study of Cordyceps Sinensis and identified the structure and quantitative of the constituents.
The Chinese Chemical Society Chemical Biology National Conference aims to provide high level of communication platform for chemical biology and related fields researchers. The platform allows adequate exchange of different research directions in the field of chemical biology research and latest results.
Sponsored by the Chinese Chemical Society and hosted by the East China University of Chemical Biology, the Eighth Annual National Conference on Chemical Biology, was held on 15th, September, 2013 at the Shanghai Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center. Over 800 researchers from different Mainland China and oversea universities and scientific research institutes gathered and took part at the event. Nearly 300 posters were displayed. At the conference, the prize winners were established as follows: one first place, 3 second places and six third places. After a careful selection by the Organizing Committee, Mi Jianing’s poster stood out and received the second prize. It is the only award-winning poster at this Conference that was from the Hong Kong and Macau area, and was the only Chinese medicine research award.
