“MUST TODAY” Won the Best in Layout Design and the Best in Photography in the 2014 Campus Newspaper Awards, China Daily Hong Kong Edition

The awards presentation ceremony of the third Campus Newspaper Awards, China Daily Hong Kong Edition was held at Hong Kong Polytechnic University on October 17th. MUST Today won two awards; the layout of the “An Election”, co-designed by Li Jia Yao (junior), Xu Xin Lu (sophomore), and Xu Song (sophomore), students of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, won the Best in Layout Design category, and the pictures accompanying the report of “An Election” and taken by Li Jia Yao, won the 1st Runner-up of the Best in Photography award.

This year’s Campus Newspaper Awards consists of two categories, the Chinese category and the English category, offering more than 20 awards, such as “Best in News Reporting”, “Best in News Writing”, “Best in Feature Writing”, and others; 26 universities from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, including The Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, University of Macau, Fudan University, Sun Yat-sen University, and Fu Jen Catholic University, have participated in the event; this is the first year for Macau University of Science and Technology to take part in the event.

Associate Professor Liu Xu Dong of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, together with the students, attended the ceremony and participated in the presentation of awards; on behalf of the editors of MUST TODAY, Xu Qian (junior) and Wang Yu Jie (2nd year graduate) from the MUST journalist team accepted the awards.
