“Journey to Jingdezhen Ceramic Culture” by Teachers and Students of Faculty of Humanities and Arts

The 3rd Global Tourism Economy Forum was held in the afternoon of October 27th in Macau where at the “The Unique Beauty of Jiangxi” tourism promotion reception, Ms. Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, Director of Macau Government Tourist Office handed over the flag that carries the message of “Journey to Explore the Ceramic Culture of Jingdezhen”, to Lecturer Wang Guan Qiang of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of MUST. As the first delegation of the exploration journey, the teachers and students of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts of MUST went on a five-day visit to appreciate the traditional Chinese culture.

The delegation consists of 2 teachers and 28 students of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts, who paid a visit to such historical sites of interest that Jiangxi has to offer as Mount Lu, Mount Shizhong, Jingdezhen, Wuyuan County and so on. The beautiful landscapes and humanistic culture of Jiangxi has made a deep impression to the MUST students. When visiting the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute, the students even engaged in a hands-on experience of creating ceramic arts; they were amazed by the sophisticatedness and complexity demonstrated in the production of the traditional Chinese culture and art, which, they believe, will bring about multi-perspective inspirations for their future artistic study and design.
