2020/2021 Initiation Ceremony of MUST Social Service Team had been successfully held

On October 10, 2020, the 2020/2021 Initiation ceremony of MUST Social Service Team supervised by the Student Affairs Office was successfully held in Room N316 Block N. The head of the Student Affairs Office Ms. Wong Ka Weng, the assistant executive officer Ms. Tam Kit Leng, the mentors Ms. Hao Chi Wan and Mr. Tam Weng Fong, and 43 members of the Social Service Team attended the ceremony.

In the initiation ceremony, Ms. Wong praised the members of the Social Service Team for their effort and hard work, encouraged the new team members to make full use of the platform to nurture moral character, and actively engage in social services based on their expertise. Ms. Wong also emphasized the importance of innovative thinking, learning from the successful experiences of voluntary services and environmental protection projects in other communities, so as to broaden their horizons, conduct group discussions on a regular basis and innovate new public welfare programs.

The oath-taking ceremony of all team members

Later, witnessed by Ms. Wong and the mentors group, the team leaders and emcees led all the team members to begin the oath-taking ceremony. Then, Lam Wan Yi, the leader of the Social Service Team, introduced the framework, rules and annual plan of the team. The deputy leaders Lam Weng Io, Tong Man Lok and Wang Yu Yuan also encouraged all the new members. The atmosphere of the initiation ceremony was quite animated and warm. 

In the ceremony, one of the new team members said she felt warmth and harmony of the Social Service Team. After learning about the annual plans and past activities, she was more confident and enthusiastic about participating in social services.

The initiation ceremony unfolded a new chapter for the Social Service Team. It allowed new members to better adapting to and getting along with the whole team and lay a solid foundation for future activities.
