In order to enable students to have a deeper understanding of hotel operation, services and the functions of various departments through observation, the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM) of the Macau University of Science and Technology organized students to visit the Banyan Tree Hotel on October 25, 2018. The hotel staff members not only gave the students detailed and compelling talks, offering suggestions from the aspects of employment and life planning, but also guided the students to visit the hotel guest rooms, spa centers, restaurants and the recreational facilities and so on. Without a doubt, the visiting students have deepened their understanding about hotel operation.
Thanks to the support from the Banyan Tree Hotel, students enjoyed the informative talks, delicious desserts and coffee provided for them and they were grateful for the warm hospitality. The visiting group also appreciated the chance to enter the internal operation of the hotel, due to which they gained a fresh perspective on hotel management and opportunity to reflect on the knowledge they obtained from class. Students couldn’t thank Banyan Tree Hotel enough, and they were looking forward to the next tour.
