On April 13th, 2021 the Student Union of the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management held the Room Service Ambassador Competition - Creative Room Design & Marketing Competition. After competed in the preliminary contest, six groups made it to the final.
Students Designed for the Rooms
The groups spent a long period of time designing their rooms according to their own decorative styles, service philosophy and marketing strategies. It was an honor to have had Ms. Michelle Cheang, Assistant Learning Manager and Ms. Joyce Wong, Executive Housekeeper, both from Banyan Tree Macau to be the judges with two professors from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management. The six groups showed their rooms to the judges by introducing their designs and demonstrating their service ideology and marketing planning. The judges then gave their comments and suggestions.
The Judges Gave Comments and Suggestions
After careful consideration, the judges gave evaluation score for each group. The Nebula Parent-Child Room, Quietness in the Noise, and the Macau’s Memory won the first, second and third place respectively. After the awarding ceremony, the competition came to a successful ending.

All the groups said they enriched their practical skills and professional knowledge after participating in this competition. This would certainly be a great treasure in their future careers and the students express that they looking forward to the next competition!
