FI Undergraduate Won 3rd Prize in Final of Collegiate Computer Projects of Pan-Pearl River Delta 2020

The final of Collegiate Computer Compositions of Pan-Pearl River Delta 2020 was held from Oct. 28 to Oct. 30 in Macau Polytechnic Institute, Macau. Our undergraduate Mr. Tsz-Hang SZE-TO major in Software Technology and Application won the 3rd prize in this competition under the supervision of Associate Professor Hong-Ning Dai.

The project entitled “Intelligent Recommendation and Visualization System of Macau Public Parking Lots” collects historical data of Macau public parking lots, applies deep learning algorithms to analyze the collected data, consequently making predication on the occupancy of parking lots. Meanwhile, the system can also automatically recommend parking lots for users according to the occupancy of parking lots as well as the geo-locations of users. Moreover, the system also offers a visualization of the statistics of historical data of parking lots. This competition aims at promoting the interactions and knowledge exchange of collegiate students in universities of Pan-Pearl River Delta, consequently fostering innovation in Pan-Pearl River Delta and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area. This competition has attracted more than 100 institutions and more than 10,000 college students from 14 provinces and regions including Guangdong Province, Hainan Province, Macau, Hong Kong, etc. Finally, Mr. Tsz-Hang SZE-TO won the 3rd prize in this final of this competition.
