Recently, Stanford University in the United States released World's Top 2% Scientists 2020. Associate Professor Song Qingbin from the Macao Environmental Research Institute was selected for the 2019 influence list.
The ranking was published by the team of Professor John PA Ioannidis, based on the Scopus database, using a comprehensive six citation indicators for scoring. In 2020, the team of Professor Ioannidis updated this information. Taking into account the differences in different sub-research fields, from nearly 7 million scientists, the world’s top 2% of scientists were selected, covering liberal arts, sciences, and engineering disciplines, including 22 fields and 176 sub-disciplines, and the updated information also shows the comprehensive citation index ranking of each scientist in his or her sub-discipline. This data provides a measurement index for scientists' long-term scientific research performance, which can reflect the influence of scientists more objectively and truly.
