MUST and Centro Universitário Univates Signed a Cooperation Memorandum to Promote the University’s Educational and Academic Development

On April 8, 2016, Prof. Ney José Lazzari, Rector of Centro Universitário Univates and Prof. Viviane Bischoff, Manager of International Affairs Office visited Macau University of Science and Technology. They were warmly received by President Liu Liang, Vice President Pang Chuan, Associate Vice President Sun Jian Rong and Ms. Lei Pou Cheng, Assistant Administrative Officer of University International College.

For the purpose of promoting the collaboration between the two universities, the presidents signed a memorandum on cooperation in different ways such as students and teachers exchange programs, academic conferences, and training programs. It is hoped that there will be more educational and academic communication between the two universities from which both parties will benefit. It is also taken as a great opportunity for potential cooperation between MUST and other colleges in Brazil.

In the afternoon, Prof. Ney José Lazzari gave a lecture to the freshmen of Portuguese class, introducing the higher educational system in Brazil.

Located in Lajeado, Brazil, Centro Universitário Univates is a nonprofit private university. It was established in 1969. Until now, it has had over ten thousand university graduates and over four thousand postgraduates, master graduates, Ph. D graduates, and graduates from technical programs.
