As a crucial stage in the university’s development, FA starts doctoral and master’s programs of design. These programs will improve the curriculums, optimize the teaching structure, strengthen the research ability, and better serve the society. Thanks to the support from the university, the design programs have been developed fast and expanded in the new areas of Humanities. In order to adapt to the moderate diversification of Macau’s economy, cultural and creative industry is taken as the key to boost Macau’s development. Though there is a lack of “hard resource” in Macau, unique culture, location advantage, social and economic system and other “soft resources” are abundant, which become the basis of the development of cultural industry in Macau. Therefore, the arts education provided by FA of MUST is significant. In addition, arts education can also benefit from the social practice which may provide talents for the design education in China.
