MUST is the only first-prize winner in “Macau Scientific and Technological Achievement Award” this year

The preliminary result of “Macau Scientific and Technological Achievement Award”, which is held every two years, is released on the afternoon of June 8th, 2016. Eighteen research projects win this year, and eight of them are proposed by Macau University of Science and Technology. MUST also makes a sweep of the only two first prizes. It is a new milestone in the university’s development of academic research. The award ceremony will be held on October.

The preliminary result shows that eight research projects received Natural Science Award in which two get the first prize, three get the second prize and three get the third prize; six projects received Technological Invention Award in which two get the second prize and four get the third prize; four projects received Scientific and Technology Progress Award in which one gets the second prize and three get the third prize.

The following are the eight prize-winning projects proposed by MUST: “The Scientific Discovery in the Multiband Data from Chang E Project” and “The New Pathogenesis and New Treatment to Rheumatoid Arthritis” receive the first prize of Natural Science Award; “Super Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle and the Fast Positive Frequency Decomposition of the Signal Based on Analytic Phase Analysis”(cooperated with Macau University) gets the third prize of Natural Science Award; “Application of Active Cell Solid Phase Chromatography in the Study of Innovative Chinese Medicine” (cooperated with the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University” wins the second prize of Technological Invention Award; “New Technology and Application of Reverse Two Authentication Based on DAA” (cooperated with Macau An Xin Tong Science and Technology Ltd.” and “New Technology of Control and Adjustment for Complex Manufacturing Equipment and Production System” win the third prize of Technological Invention Award; “Development and Application of Traffic Noise Assessment System in Macau” and “Development and Application of Chinese Herbal Medicine Used as Indoor Air Disinfectant” get the third prize of Scientific and Technology Progress Award.
