Macau University of Science and Technology, Faculty of Law, has become a member of the Asian Law Institute (ASLI) since June 30th, 2016. There are now 72 member institutions from Asia, America, Britain, Canada, Australia, Italy and Russia in ASLI, such as National University of Singapore Faculty of Law, the Australian National University College of Law, Peking University Law School, National Taiwan University College of Law, and the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law. Joining ASLI will benefit MUST in many ways: it will be a platform for international communication; teachers and students will be able to attend its annual signature conference, which is one of the most important legal conferences in Asia; full-time faculty members will be able to apply for its fellowship. This will be a great opportunity for Faculty of Law to expand its academic and educational interaction with legal scholars around the world for a joint effort to advance the development of Asian law.

ASLI is an international academic institute established in 2003 by 13 leading law schools in Asia including National University of Singapore Faculty of Law, Peking University Law School, National Taiwan University College of Law, and the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law. It aims to facilitate the collaboration amongst legal scholars, and encourage excellence in research and education in Asian law. The secretariat is set in National University of Singapore Faculty of Law.
