MUST team wins the Second Place at the Macao Tertiary Institution Students Conference Challenge

The "2017/2018 Macao Tertiary Institution Students Conference Challenge was held by Macau Convention & Exhibition Association on March 17, 2018 in the building of Macao Chamber of Commerce. Students of Macau University of Science and Technology won the second place. MUST team was composed of Huang Lipian, Ruan Hanbin, Luo Ying, three master students from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management and Wu Jiati, a master student from the Faculty of Humanities and Arts. Assistant professor Jose Wong from the Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management was their instructor.

This competition aims to nurture MICE talents and creates diversified development opportunities to promote the business in Macao. It also provided an exchange platform for students from colleges and universities to develop the creative thinking in the industry more

The competition started in December last year and went through three stages. MUST team passed the first stage with the "Forum for Gastronomy Cultural Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, 2018" proposal.The proposal got further optimization under the guidance of the professional MICE industry delegates in the second stage. On March 17, MUST team performed well in the proposal presentation and the Q&A, and finally won the second place.. The team also got the opportunity to participate in the "2018 Asia MICE Youth Challenge" representing Macao. The Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management will actively encourage and support students to participate in this kind of activities to promote the talent training.
