M.U.S.T. student wins the “Lotus Composition Contest”

M.U.S.T. Student Li Zi Xuan from Faculty of Law won Championship at the “Lotus Composition Contest”

Li Zi Xuan, student from Faculty of Law at Macau University of Science and Technology won the opening group championship at the “Lotus Composition Contest”. Her winning work is titled “Love for Lotus in a Lotus City”. The contest is organized by the Macao Lotus Cultural Association, and co-organized by Macao Daily and The Chinese Educators’ Association of Macau, and the designated theme of the contest is “New Interpretations to Love for Lotus – Macau Love”, aiming to promote research and understanding of lotus and spread beauty, justice and union, which coincides with the lotus spirits.

Li Zi Xuan decided to participate in the composition contest for two purposes. The first is to enrich her university life, and the second is to account and record the transformation of her feelings for Macau. After living here for two years, she has known the city better and grown increasingly attached to it. For her, winning the championship has been a pleasant surprise; also, it’s been a great incentive and reward for her non-stop writing exercises despite her busy school schedule. She hopes that all her schoolmates could take whatever opportunities that life makes available for them and fulfill their dreams.

In addition, students from School of Business of M.U.S.T., Zhu Yi Yao and Xu Jia Yi were also placed at the Contest for their works, “The Flower that Has a One-of-a-Kind Stamina” and “The Chivalry in a Flower”, respectively. The Award-Presentation Ceremony of the Contest was recently held at the Ho Yin Memorial Hall on the 4th floor of the Macao Chamber of Commerce Building.
