M.U.S.T. Team Wins 1st Prize at the 2019 China Mobile Internet Innovation Contest

Organized by the China Institute of Communications of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the China Mobile Internet Industry Incubation Center of the MIIT, the 2019 China Mobile Internet Innovation Contest (Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Wide) drew altogether 740 participating teams, 78 of which entered the final held in Guangzhou on June 21st and 22nd, 2019. The M.U.S.T. team named “emit”, consisting of students from the supply chain program of the School of Business, Zhou Tong, Jin Hanbo, Wang Tongxin, and Luo Yayu, won the 1st prize of the university group.

The M.U.S.T. team was coached by Associate Prof. Tang Huajun and Associate Prof. Liu Yide of the Department of Decision Sciences. After an intense round of preparation and competition, the “emit” team left a deep impression to the panel of judges with their eight-minute presentation. The judges praised the project highly and provided valuable suggestions.

Following their victory, the team members expressed that despite the short notice of the competition, each member of the team has exerted an essential role. Throughout the preparation there were difficulties and frustrations, but they never stopped trying. It’s their team belief that one should dare to try and take up challenges, and they are ready to embrace whatever results coming out of the competition. Finally, the team thanked the University and the organizers for providing such a platform for them to showcase the strengths of working as a team.
