“Current Development of Female Tourists” Workshop Held at M.U.S.T.

The 2nd workshop of FHTM Summer Research Seminar Series entitled “Current Development of Female Tourists” was held on June 22nd, 2020. Prof. Catheryn Khoo-Lattimore was the invited speaker for this online workshop, and it was attended by nearly 100 FHTM teachers and postgraduate students. This workshop was sponsored by Macao Foundation.

Prof. Catheryn Khoo-Lattimore is from Griffith University, Australia. She is the senior researcher and associate professor of the Department of Tourism, Sport and Hotel Management at Griffith University. She is an expert in hospitality area, including consumer behavior, especially the female tourists, service marketing and qualitative research method.

In the workshop, Prof. Catheryn Khoo-Lattimore pointed out that women travelling is an emerging and promising market and explained the great potential of the female market. Professor Khoo-Lattimore’s speech was full of witty words, and the atmosphere was lively. In the final Q and A session, students and teachers raised questions and Prof. Khoo-Lattimore answered them in details and with patience and all attendees expressed how the content was useful for the industry. The workshop ended successfully.
