Two Years in a Row M.U.S.T. Ranked in Top 300 in World University Rankings

The United Kingdom’s Times Higher Education published the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021, local U.K. time, on the 2nd of September. Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.) has been ranked among the top 251-300 of the Rankings for two consecutive years. As a top-300 world university, the University now occupies the highest rank in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings among all local Macao universities.

In the five areas of indicators calibrated by The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2021, namely, teaching, research, international outlook, citations and industry income, M.U.S.T. scored 86.3 in the “Citations” indicator, which represents an improvement over that of last year and speaks of the gradual rise of impact of the University in the international scholarship community. “Citations” indicates the force of impact of a university in the international academic community based on the number of times of research publications of the university being cited by international scholars. It helps to reflect the contribution of a university to societal progresses and to identify which research conducts excel in the eyes of the global academic community and therefore draw the eyes and interest of the other peer researchers.
