Research Trends in the Tourism Field from the Journal Editor's Perspective” by Professor Sara Dolnicar

The fifth lecture of the “Academic Seminars Series” hosted by M.U.S.T. Faculty of Hospitality and Hotel Management (FHTM) was held on November 25, 2020.  Professor Sara Dolnicar from University of Queensland, Australia was invited to give a talk entitled “Frontier Research Trends in the Tourism Field from the Journal Editor's Perspective”. Over 100 FHTM teachers and postgraduate students, including Program Director Dr. Zhang Yang attended the seminar sponsored by the Macao Foundation.

Prof. Sara Dolnicar

Professor Sara Dolnicar is the research professor of School of Tourism at the University of Queensland. She is a member of the Professional Development Committee of the Australian Market and Social Research Society (AMSRS), and part of the editorial board membership of several top journals such as Tourism Management, Annals of Tourism Research, and others.

In the seminar, Professor Sara Dolnicar shared her views on habits of knowledge creation towards more valid and powerful future tourism research. She also provided the publication criteria and formats in Annals of Tourism Research. The atmosphere of the lecture was lively and pleasant. In the final Q & A session, students raised questions and Professor Sara Dolnicar answered in detailed with patience. Students gained new knowledge and understanding about journal publication.
