To expand the horizons of Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Management (FHTM) students, and enrich their research experience and understanding of the Silk Road history, the Macau University of Science and Technology (M.U.S.T.) organized a "Silk Road - Wine and Historical Culture" study tour from July 2 to 8 to Yinchuan City in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Xi'an City in Shaanxi Province. Led by Associate Professor Zhang Yang, ten undergraduate and graduate students participated in the tour.

With the assistance and cooperation from the College of Enology and Horticulture of Ningxia University, the study tour visited the red wine production area located on the Helan Mountain's East Foothill in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region to visit wineries such as the Longyu Estate, the Yuanshi Vineyard and Legacy Peak Estate, and the Silver Heights. Visiting vineyards, wine production workshops, cultural exhibition areas, and wine-tasting activities enabled the students to better understand Chinese wine culture.
