“Casual Wear In Summer, Save Energy Together”
MUST Staff jointly promote the Energy Saving Week

“Casual Wear In Summer, Save Energy Together” is one of the series of activities that the Office of the Development of Energy Sector has initiated for the “2014 Energy Saving Campaign in Macau”; the purposes of holding such activities are to contribute to global efforts in coping with climate change, to increase the awareness of energy conservation among Macau residents, to cultivate the attitude of saving energy, and to jointly advance energy efficiency.

As one of the co-organizers, Macau University of Science and Technology has participated in this campaign seven years on a row. On June 17th, the university staff wore the University T-shirt and colorful faculty T-shirts to demonstrate their support for environmental protection through real actions. In the mean time, in response to the “Casual Wear Summer” campaign, the university staff are encouraged to wear causal so as to save the energy that otherwise would have been consumed for air-conditioning purpose; accordingly, the air-conditioning temperature in offices is adjusted to no lower than 25℃. The MUST staff will continue to respond ardently to the government’s campaign for energy conservation and environmental protection.
